is being held by Navaratna restaurant of Hotel

flavour not found anywhere else. Navaratna, the
Royal Indian Cuisine Restaurant at Le Royal Meridien,
will host the Sham-e-Avadh food festival.
Experience the spectacular exhibition of authentic
Avadhi cuisine prepared by a 'Speciality chef'
from Lucknow. You can savour an impeccable mix
of non-vegetarian and vegetarian delights like

The
festival evokes the indolent spirit of the Nawabs
and the atmosphere is truly royal. To liven up
the evenings, there is a virtual feast for the
ears in terms of re-living some lifting and soul-stirring
ghazals by Nausad Khan.
Says Ramachandran, director, food & beverage
of Le Royal Meridien Chennai, "Food festivals
are not just an occasion to present the best of
the country's cuisine to its citizens as well
as visiting foreigners but also serve to revive
past memories of kings and nobles who were so
much fond of good food that they elevated gastronomy
to a form of art."
Le Royal Meridien Chennai is owned by Appu Hotels
Ltd and operated by Le Meridien as agents of the
owner.

With
the festival endeavouring to provide a fine dining
experience among the royalty, 'Sham-e-Avadh' promises
to be an out-of-the-world experience. All in all,
a festival which will transport you to the past.
"For the cuisine to be exceptional, the taste
has to be enigmatic and this spelt the birth of
Avadh cuisine, which is being rediscovered at
the Navaratna restaurant," says Jugesh Arora,
executive chef of the hotel.
The restaurant is a tribute to the royal cuisines
of India and traverses through the wide-flung
regions of south and north India. Journey through
the roads of gourmet perfection at this authentic
Indian restaurant serving the country's finest
royal Indian cuisine. Live Ghazal performances.
