Founder
Sri
Krishna Sweets was founded in 1948 on a
modest scale by Shri.
N.K. Mahadeva Iyer who was
a pioneer in the field of pure ghee sweets.
The separate sweet shop concept was launched
in 1972. Since then Sri Krishna Sweets is
engaged in the pursuit of manufacturing
and marketing of traditional home made sweets
and savouries for over five decades using
modern manufacturing practices.
Shri N.K. Mahadeva Iyer had a dream and
a vision. He visualized a professionally
managed food processing enterprise to offer
traditional sweets and savouries with modern
and scientific manufacturing techniques.
His entrepreneurship, blended with an innate
faith in himself gave rise to a well-knit
total quality management model in all the
preparations, long before modern management
recognized the importance of this technique.
He took the initiative to set up a laboratory
for promoting quality in food processing
and engaged the services of experts in food
technology, all part of a research and development
effort.
A recipient of a number of prestigious awards
and recognitions for his contribution to
the food processing industry in developing
quality and reliable products.
